Krita is extremely powerful but it was a nightmare for me in the first 2 weeks and later I learned the basics gradually. Keep going man, and let me know if I may share some hints.. :rspkt:
I am watching this tutorial and having problems getting things to work like the video shows. :-(

Majid, where I am encountering the problem is between 4:30 and 5:00 minutes. After I create the new layer for using the fill tool, it is filling the entire screen instead of using the outline for the mushroom as the clipping agent. I do not know what I am doing wrong. It seems pretty straight forward.

If there is a better place for this discussion, then lets go there. I do not want to distract from this thread.

OK - I finally found the source of the problem. I had to set the fill tool so that it would pay attention to all of the layers. :whoot:

Sorry for my late reply. I had to come home and use a proxy app to get into youtube. Happy to know the problem is solved. The mindset for each application is different and Krita is no exception. You are on the right track to building up the needed skills.
Here in Krita, the "eraser" tool is another "brush" for instance! Or if the selected tool is an eraser brush and you use the "Fill tool" it will erase instead of filling!
The same about the clone tool..

OK - making some progress in learning Krita. Still have some things to play with and learn how to do better but based on the video I referenced before, here is my first image (yes still some things left to be done).

Thanks Majid……some things I am not happy with but first step is to learn how to use the tool. :wall:

Can you give me a guide to learn how to draw in isometric/perspective? I would like to draw some buildings using your alphabet idea (say like the letter H) but none of the videos I have watched so far give me a good understanding of how to do it.

That would be nice!.
Krita has multiple drawing assistant tools that help in this field. When you activate them, in the brush settings you can adjust how much your brush may adhere to those assistants. Here is the link to the tool description:
