Great renders. My only suggestion is to work on the boulders, which look a bit fake :hat:

Fletch, this piece of art and some others you have shared on this forum are really inspiring. I think you might enjoy these two books:
A,B,S ketches by Majid Yeganegi who has a great Alphabet Inspired Sketchesthread on this forum and;
Bruno Manari’s Design as Art book.

There are also some other interesting references in some of the latest posts in the Krita/Sketchbook Learning Discussion thread in this forum that I think you might find interesting. You and Majid have some great talent and would make a great “team”. Hope you enjoy.

no photoshop/post pro
Couple of silly questions though. How did you create/what did you use for the background?
What material did you use to generate the grass between the parking lot and the building?

I am working on/going to build a model where I want the same effects.

ntxdave, It looks as if Fletch used a spherical tree line image he shared sometime back ( posting a link to it). It also appears that he used Skatter to populate the areas around the building with grass. I’m sure I’ll be corrected if I’m mistaken. :lol:

correct with the background image, it's just a spherical sky I believe I shared it here.

the grass is the original grass component I posted many moons ago here in the red carpet section.
In that component pack, there's a square 'patch' of grass that is created with randomly rotated and scaled copies of the Twilight Render grass component. I just copied and rotated that single square meter rectangle next to itself until I filled in the lawn area.

Thanks Fletch. That is what I thought but I have problems merging the ground with the background smoothly. Is there something I need to learn about how to do? For me, the problem really stands out if you have a ground surface and the object of the model does not take up almost all of the image (hope I am making my self clear).
