One-way mirror

Post by Twilightnoobie » Sun Jul 23, 2023 8:06 pm

Hey guys!

Im trying to render a box with glass walls - mirror on the inside facing inwards and normal translucent glass on the outside.
My goal is for the inside to be visible from the outside but the light from inside the box to be reflected by the inwards facing mirrors and therefor not leak outside the box.
The person inside the box should be reflected multiple times like in an "infinity box". Hope that makes sense?

So far I have two separate planes making up the glass wall with "normal" glass material on the outside and a mirror material on the inner plane.
As you see on the picture the yellow light still shines out on the floor outside the box.

I would be really thankful if anyone can help me with a solution for my issue 🙏
