Silly Question-Suggestion about New Posts

As the topic says, silly question: why does the New Posts go blank in the middle of the day?

I have my link to the forum set to show the new posts as the default because I like to see what people are posting. With the current setting any new topics disappear in the middle of the day. I would like to see the “refresh” take place during the night (say around midnight).

This should not be taken as a complaint but rather as a suggestion.

in my experience once I've looked for "new posts" a couple of times, it stops showing them.
In this case I choose "unread posts" to see any new posts which I haven't read.

OK, I will do that too. It seems to happen around noon (CDT) every day. I thought there might be something in the forum software that controlled the “new post” category.
