Concept Vehicles

Post by Boofredlay » Sat Feb 20, 2010 3:58 am

I started these a while back and stalled. Rather than let them die in a file somewhere I thought I would post the progress. Who knows I might have the desire to continue them someday.

First is a ground based vehicle. Maybe a limo of some sort, who knows.
Although right now it looks like a tennis shoe
I never got around to cutting the wheel wells.

I prefer the grainy shots over the polished ones, at least at this stage.
Hope you enjoy.

Metropolis BPT, only about 5 passes for the grainy shots.

Here is an air vehicle. I started with the engine and progressed from there.

Again, Metropolis BPT, the clean one went overnight if I remember correctly.

I placed an IES in the missile tube as well, if in fact that is a missile tube.

Eric, the last one seems promising. :^:

May I suggest that you give these book covers a look for further inspiration?

Great stuff Eric. I do like the grainy shots as well. It leaves more to the imagination. Something strikes me about the "Shoe limo" it has good form but would be better suited as a "all-terrain super troop carrier" or something like that maybe?

Nice work as usual. Don't let the good designs die. I keep a folder on my desktop of unfinished work. That way if I get bored or I am waiting for a render to complete I can open up something and play around for a bit.
