This render uses an hdr global for illumination along with a combination of ies and twilight point lights for the canopy downlights and interior.
I used Bidirectional Path Tracing > 12 hours >210 passes @ 1500x821. I've included a shot of the SketchUP model setup.

very good image with these flowers in the foreground
and a very good idea to integrate the model with the environment

looking really good, Ranger!

the mapping of the dark tile pavers along top edge of pool gives it away... and the person... something not right about the person... I'd just delete.

cool scene... dusk...err... should I say Twilight shots are difficult. :)

Really nice render, Ranger... Image

Unlike Fletch, I actually don't mind the person... Usually I don't like persons in renders, but this time I don't find the person in the render being distracting, taking away the attention or looking strange...
Guess it's the never ending question about preferences and taste... ;)

The water, however...
 If it was me, I would add a subtle touch of Sqirlz Water Reflections... ;)
(I know this will come as a BIG surprise to Fletch... )

@rcossoli: Thanks, the flowers were added post pro sorry to say...but the pot is rendered in the scene ;)

@Fletch: Geez you do have a good eye :) I new it and thought I could pass it off. Just goes to show it really is the little details that make a great render.
I like the person, but I think I know why something is not right...she looks too thin due to the fact that I over scaled her horizontally in PS.
"Twilight shots" good one., I totally missed that when I posted

@Frederik: Thanks. I did install Squirlz last I talked to you on the KT forum. I had a little problem though, it took preference for all my bmp, jpg, gif, tiff files etc.
It took a bit of fooling around with the file type preferences to fix it, but every once in a while for unknown reason they revert back to squilz as the default. :?

there's something strange about the lights. If they are simple downlights you may want to adjust the position of the light inside the downlight component to get it to throw the light correctly. Using IES is nice because it will throw a little light up into the can but shine most of the light down. PM me with your email and I can share something w/ you if you like.
