Reflective materials

Post by amatters » Sat Apr 17, 2010 4:30 pm

Is there a way of applying a highly reflective finish to materials I make myself in SU/Twilight? I know there is the 'highly reflective' finishes in the templates, but I am after something much more reflective - like glass but with solid colour. I have tried starting out with a glass template, turning the alpha channel to 100 and adding a colour, but it seems to do strange things with the reflected light coming off the surface. Is there another way of making this kind of finish, without going into KT to do it?

Many Thanks
Tony

try setting your material using shiny plastic template, then increase the shininess number to something like 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, etc.
