Sorry for the extremely delayed posting. I had to rerender the Tentacle Monster because the resolution of the final image was too low for my standards (it was originally done as a test piece but I decided to beef it up into an actual artistic work later) for a zoomed. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the exact hdr I used for the background so I had to use another one and therefore the highlights are a little different on it. I decided to for go the background so you can focus on the detail of the monster better. Enjoy! :)

I really wish I could actually hold it. :D Can't image how much it would cost to fabricate the thing. :!

make sure you have the latest versions. its a lot more stable.

best way to learn the tools is start off with a sphere and then play! there are different tools for different selections....so if you select edges for example there will be a different tool set.

its an awesome piece of software....but not sure about its architectural applications. I cant think of many now that the extrude tools have been released.

paappleb, that looks stunning! Great choice on the white background. So what size did you render it to?
Some say there are no stupid questions. I'm in the habit of proving those people wrong.

Oli I actually just downloaded the extrude tools this past week. Have not gotten a chance to break them out yet. Very excited. :D Thanks flipya. I thought simple was best for the close-up. The full image high-res was done at 4000x1899. When I do high-res, I don't kid around. ;)
