Piranesi
In the future is it possible that Twilight renders could be exported as .EPX files?
Re: Piranesi
Twilight doesn't export 3D formats. It exports the KT XML format because that is what the underlying render engine uses. An export for a 3D format is better done as a separate SU plugin.
Re: Piranesi
When we are at Piranesi however (and sorry for the OT post), would you mind entering this competition?
It's still open and there are great prizes!

Re: Piranesi
Hello Neal,
If you are looking for a workflow to paint into your Twilight render with Piranesi, then try this:
1 Export an Epix file from the view in Sketchup that you want to render
2 Render exactly the same view in Twilight and save the render as bitmap image
3 Open the Epix in Piranesi
4 Import the rendered Image into the Piranesi Epix (a new layer will be created)
now you can paint into your Twilight render in Piranesi.
I am using Piranesi 2010 which supports layers, but I dont know if the same process works for older versions without layer support.
Just recently I had a render done where a complex and slender truss came out too bright. Fixing it in Piranesi took only a few minutes.
hope this could help

Re: Piranesi
That sounds great - good info to know, thanks a lot for sharing, Shura.
Re: Piranesi
Hi Shura,
If you do not mind, I "reposted" your excellent tip in the Piranesi Competition topic over SCF.

Re: Piranesi
always welcome, Gaieus!
Re: Piranesi
I have also downloaded Piranesi but cannot enter the competition because I am one of the judges (no matter how I "protested").
