This is a work in progress. Been making some marketing images again for a housing association.
They wanted a "quick" watercolour to compare to a realistic render. So Twilight and FotoSketcher were the weapons of choice.
The render only cooked for half an hour so please excuse the low quality, high res version cooking.
PLEASE ADD YOUR OWN FOTOSKETCHER AND TWILIGHT CREATIONS HERE
Here you go:

looks good Oli!....PhotoSketcher is really useful.
The road keeps catching my eye....maybe you could make this colour a bit less contrasty in PS?
I think its good if you can get some reflections in the original render too.
Have you gauged your client's reactions yet?
EDIT: Also Oli you must have a look at Dynamic Auto Painter!!!....just found it and it blows the socks off PhotoSketcher!.....its got lots of styles, controls etc....and it costs...$50 US, but I think I have to have it!..IM playing with the demo now

EDIT 2: Had a further look at Dynamic Auto Painter....not quit as enthusiastic..its good, but requires more time and work than PhotoSketcher

Oh u mean reflections in windows etc? i think the tree line behind the camera was a bit too close so you cant see it very well. May make glass more reflective.he road keeps catching my eye....maybe you could make this colour a bit less contrasty in PS?

well the road was very pale in the render so I darkened it, but yeah I understand. Client always change their opinion. There are like 5 people giving their opinion on what the outcome of the image should be...so I really don't know what to do anymore. They like really cheesy and punchy pictures; birds, cars, flowers, lots of smiling people, sun. No drama!

The general feeling of the Hand painted one is nice. I mean Photo one is Flat and very CG and becomes much more poppy and "alive". For the purpose you were on, its very nice.

Hiya,
They have published an article on FotoSkectchter at Sketchup Artists web site:
I made some Sketchup - Twilight - FotoSketcher contributions.....bit rushed but I think some of them came out nice.

Oli, I was just recently playing with FotoSketcher and realised its possible to use it to get instant pop in an image without loosing detail or necessarily going down the 'arty' path.
