Fun little project...

Post by tomsdesk » Mon Aug 09, 2010 12:46 pm

...time to find some peeps better than SU's for these, huh? (Though they work fine for model presentation and the watercolors...see here: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtop ... 17#p263217 )

great images, Tom! :^:
I don't mind these people at all... but I'm an SU user, so... depends on the clients. Yes, I would imagine a client would like to see real people, and they would add a lot to the realism of the images.
But they are a real pain.

Very nice Tom!! I can imagine it being a fun project.

Out of interest... where did the animal statues come from?

I feel that PR people would work better.....Archiforge have a nice free selection of casual peeps that could go well here

Thanks a bunch, guys...I looked over archiforge and will be downloading at least the kids right away to try here (this entry "correl" is for grade school groups going on a field trip :`) Stu, the animals are from here: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ ... evstart=60 thank you zt2fan. I had to clean them up quite a bit (they sure could use some sub-divide and smooth action) and make some from others (used the beaver to make a badger).

tom go to :

http://vyonyx.com/category/down/cutout-people/

there are free trees and textures here too, along with some good tutorials.

you need to open the file in photoshop, delete the vyonyx disclaimer and save as PNG. They can all be used commercially.

Tom,

Just looking at these again....and scuse me if Im stating the obvious :)

If you used PR people...along with your great vegetation, a light pass through FotoSketcher might take the PR edge of the peeps and merge them better with the other elements
