ANIMATION INSIDE RENDER

So I have seen a render somehwere with what I guess is a small video of an actual working fire inside a fireplace.
How does one go by making something like that.
In my case I need to show Philips LED lights hidden in an alcove morph colors from, lets say, red to blue inside a render ...
I absolutely no clue how to get this going and I can't find the posting with the working fireplace anywhere to use as an example

HELP :totgm:

to have it slowly change from one color to another,
  1. render the 3 different colored images as still shots.
  2. then use a program that can record a video of your computer screen.
  3. open the 3 images as a layer stack in a photo editor and start recording video, then slowly change the opacity of each layer
  4. stop recording when done making your video
  5. open video in a video editor and save good compression for sharing video.

I'm not sure I know which animation you are thinking of.

Please read manual about how to render animations in SU with Twilight.
If you wish to animate a flickering fireplace, then you would have different "flickers" of "flames" in each scene (controlling visibility with layers and scenes in SU), and render the animation.
Put the image sequence together in VirtualDub or other more expensive video editor, and export as some sort of compressed AVI, I like Xvid and DivX compressions... there are others even a little better.

But perhaps I misunderstood because I thought you wanted a slow fade between the 2 or 3 diff. colors of lights, and a slow fade would be possible, but challenging to achieve using SU's current animation methods.
If you want me to, I can give you 2 theories I have in order to achieve a slow fade between 2 diff. colored lights in SU.

here are sequence fire files you could use.
