Material Editor window doesn't have any templates in it

Post by fizgig » Wed Oct 20, 2010 5:57 pm

The Options->Directories area looks good. I see the directories that they list in there and they do exist and have files there.

Am I missing something?

Restart your computer and see if the error is still there.

Please give more details... what type of system are you using? what version of SketchUp? What version of Twilight? What version of Windows? do you have Twilight installed to SketchUp 7 and to SketchUp 8 simultaneously?

I installed Twilight a couple of weeks (and many reboots) ago. Don't think it will do much good to reboot again today.

Windows XP
Sketchup 8 Pro installed (no other version installed)
Twilight Version 1.4.2

Just did it. Still have an empty material window.

oh. screenshots tell 1000 words and save a lot of time. :)
it always looks like that if you haven't chosen a material in SketchUp. You can't create materials in Twilight, you can only edit the SketchUp materials.
  1. create a surface in SketchUp.
  2. paint a color or material onto it.
  3. click that color or material with the Twilight Material eyedropper in order to apply a material template to it.

Didn't see any tutorial videos. I'll go hunt for them.
