Conference Room

An old model I decided to practice on.

I am not sure why the red arc above the cabinet is faceted. The geometry is not even in a group or component and is smoothed.
I am also not pleased with some of the lighting but so far I like the result. I have it set up to cook another one this evening.

sometimes smooth curves can have reversed faces, switch to monochrome view in SketchUp and double check all faces are facing out.

warm up the lights by changing their color slightly in the Light Editor... don't overdo it!

add some decorative pendants over the conf. table.

get some IES files for the puck lights under the cabs... and warm 'em up a bit for artistic license sake. ;)

double the number of segments to arcs in inlay detail curve on doors!

Thanks guys.

No reversed faces here :?
I made the curve smoother by adding segments.
I also changed the scene a bit and am cooking another.

No it was built from scratch. I have re-done it with more segments and it is rendering fine now.

Nice Table, as Fletch said, missing a bit some IES effects on the walls.
I like the table material... ;)

it's overall ok, only point on my opinion is metal sailing part...it is too unreal, the table material is excelent.

You mean the ceiling majid? I agree. It was the company logo in the ceiling and I forgot to remove it prior to rendering. They never used it anyway.
Like I said, this is an old model.

Here I took it out and changed the scene around a bit. After 11 hours (while I slept) here is what I got.
It is a bit washed out around the table IMO. I think I upped the refraction on the table material too much.
The chairs have the same wood as the table.

And here after a bit of Photoshop tweaking.

And the soffit is still showing up faceted the segments.
Here is the SU output in monochrome so you don't think I am going loopy ;)

Here is the file if you want to look into the faceting issue (FF components removed of course).
