To shine colored light on your model:
simply change the color of your spot light using the Light Editor Dialog. For best results, try not to increase the power of your spot light more than 1, the higher the power, the color can change to white. Instead of increasing the power of the lights, adjust the exposure of your image in the Camera Tab of the Render Dialog.
Tip
from Alvydas here.
If the above suggestion does not result in the effect you are going for, then you could try loading an image like this into a projector light:
- Download these projector light images below.
- Insert a spot light
- Open the Light Editor Dialog
- Select your light in your scene which you wish to convert
- Convert it to Projector Type of light
- In the Image Slot for the projector light, load one of these color projector light images
