DOF in Post Pro using Depth Render Pass from Twilight Render

If your goal is a quicker rendering but to create the DOF (blur depth of field) effect in post-pro,
  1. In Twilight Render, make a rendering without any DOF.
  2. Save this image. "render"
  3. Render again using the Tech>Specialized>Depth Render pass in the Technical render settings.
  4. Save this image "depth"
  5. (render this image at double the resolution for better quality depth render, then resize it to match rendered image in photo editor.)
  6. Open Photoshop >Open "render" image.
  7. Open "depth" image.
  8. Duplicate the "render" image to Layer1, and create a mask on that Layer1.
  9. Select all on the "Depth" image and CTRL-C copy that image
  10. Alt-click the Mask on Layer1 of the Render image, and now you should see all white mask.
  11. CTRL-V paste the depth render into that Mask.
  12. Filter>Distort>Lens and choose in the settings for the filter the source to be the "layer mask".
  13. Try changing the different blur settings.

To achieve the same result in COREL PHOTOPAINT follow Fletch instruction up to point 4 and then:
  • 5. Open Corel Photoshop>Open "render" image.
    6. Open "depth" image.
    7. On the "render" image in Object Manager click on background and duplicate (CTRL+D), click on duplicated object and create clip mask (use icon shortcut or right-click on duplicated object > Clip Mask > Create > To Show All
    8. Select all on the "Depth" image and CTRL-C copy that image
    9. Now is a tricky part (at least for me) select (left-click) the Mask on duplicated image (you should notice the red border around it)
    10. Right-click on duplicated object (not the clip mask) > Paste > Paste as New Selection
    11. Now if you hide (the eye icon) background you will see the Mask overlay. You can either adjust Mask or "render" (notice the red border around Mask or Object you can switch between with left-click). It is good to adjust brightness/contrast/intensity of the Clip Mask with preview ON, you can quite accurate select interesting depth, when you are satisfied select object "render" (note the red border) and then Effects>Blur>Tune Blur. You can unhide the background first, to preview final result.
    12. Try changing the different blur settings.
PS. I'm rather casual user of Corel Photo-paint so if there are any shortcuts to this method please feel free to write about it.
