Need Grass?
Need Grass?
In another thread i asked about grass in TL, anyway I created some grass in Vue and rendered it with alpha embedded, made it into a Sketchup component for anyone interested in using it.
Below are some illustrations and a .skp on how to use it. It may seem a little heavy, thats because the texture is big, feel free to reduce it in your image editor (remember to keep it .png) that way you can reduce the size considerably.
The image generated from Vue: The setup in SU: The resulting render:

Re: Need Grass?
Here is another one in the Warehouse. I made patches by randomly rotating the grass around the z axis but if you wish, you can extract the individual grass components and make it something like Pete's above:

I have also downloaded lots of grass images from that "Granny Art" site - http://grannyart.blogspot.com/
(suggesting to everyone - incredible collections of high quality, high res png images of every kind of plants you can imagine). I will gradually turn them into components and share in the WH but if you need them now, just go ahead.
