Obviously there are times that require typing to communicate, especially in this business. :D

Thank You Chris for comprehensive information. Good to know that the upgrade will not cause major downtime at work.

By the way, for those of you used to having at least a little control over your computer, there is an important setting to change once you upgrade.

Under Settings -> Update & Security -> Windows Update -> Advanced Options: "Choose how updates are installed". You will probably want to change this from Automatic :emp: to "Notify to schedule restart".

If you don't, Windows will restart out from under you and you will loose work. I know that previous versions of Windows would also restart but since you could choose what updates to install and when, you were a lot less likely to lose work. Now that you can't choose when or what, make sure you change this setting!

Or if you really want to be certain you won't restart, unplug your computer from the internet! If it can't download updates, it won't need to restart.

Just to inform anyone who is interested. I'm working on WIN 10 whole week and haven't notice any troubles with SU or TWR.

By the way, I came across some additional information on the "free"-ness of Windows 10.

https://www.yahoo.com/tech/microsoft-cl ... 56889.html

If you are a corporate user of Microsoft, at your desk at work, you are not entitled to a "free upgrade". Chances are your IT department, or whatever, will have to buy the upgrade. For all personal and home users, it is free.

Guys, just so you know, your FAQ on the website is a bit out of date and does not list Windows 10 as a compatible OS for Twilight Render.

Worth updating I think you will agree.
