Hello,

I have model (1.57MB) with 4 matherials (all of them are less than 1000x1000)
There are no objects with huge num of polygons.
However render cannot handle it. Just after starting, render (before starting tracing) stops with message:The render may have failed to run.

I have laptop with Win 8.1, Intel Core i5-3337U, 1.8Ghz, 8GB DDRAM, NVIDIA GeForce 750M with 4GB RAM.

SketchUp 2015
Twilight 2.4.4 pro

Can you please advise how can I fix it?

Thank you!

It most likely has to do with one of these:

What render method?
What render size?
How many lights?
How many light emitting materials?

If you can provide test file here, we can usually tell you the problem right away.
Twilight Render can handle massive scene and is very efficient with RAM usage, so it is likely some other issue. It is difficult to guess from the information you provided we would need the scene.

I am having this same issue all of a sudden...
produced a few renders on the Prelim setting with no issues, added no more objects lights or textures, just changed the scene position, now "the render may have failed to run" every single time... even if i removed some geometry, turned off the light layers, removed all emmitters.... so no renders will run in any condition...
any help would be appreciated!

This almost always falls into two categories: no lights in the scene or you have run out of memory. So the same questions as above,
What render method?
What render size?
How many lights?
How many light emitting materials?

And also, what version of SketchUp? If you are using SU2014 or earlier then it's 32 bit and you are limited in how much RAM it can us.

Hey, I'm having a similar issue with V2 not rendering. I was able to render earlier today and added several textures and lights, and now nothing. I also removed said items to see if this would help and still nothing getting the same message. Any suggestions please.

If it renders with Easy 09, but not with Easy 07 or Easy06 then it's a RAM issue.
Purge the file of unused textures, layers, materials, and components.

Cut all large resolution textures in half.
What resolution are you rendering?

It doesn't render on any of those settings either. How do I purge the unused materials without deleting all my settings in twilight?

Preflight Checklist wrote:In SketchUp go to “Window>Model Info>Statistics>Purge Unused” There are great plugins created for cleaning up your SketchUp models of unused and problematic unseen geometry. Models downloaded from the SketchUp Warehouse can oftentimes be a source of problems when it comes to photorealistic rendering. Eliminating and purging these models can often solve issues in problematic scenes. Multiple deep nesting of groups or components can cause problems. If your model does not render, explode "super groups" of models to be simple components. If there are groups of components more than 4 levels deep, it's likely too much. Try this before asking for help.
