texture mapping and decals in twilight-render

Post by define » Tue Sep 22, 2009 2:26 pm

Hello everyone,

and first of all congratulations to this piece of software. Rendering in sketchup has become much more convinient now.

One question/suggestion though. Do you plan on supporting UV-coordinates in the near future?
Will there be normal-maps or better displacement-maps? Will you offer procedural shaders?

A lot of questions - I know :) ...and I'm willing to wait for it to come.

best wishes and maximum respect for twilight-render so far

klaus

Welcome, Klaus! And thank you for your encouragement. :D

Image UV coordinates are automatically taken from your SU model's texture. If you need UV mapping, simply apply any material in SketchUp that contains a texture image, this will be the UV mapping.

Normal maps and procedural shaders are already IN Twilight! Image Simply apply any library material that contains them, and they are working just fine. We will likely include them natively with more control in Twilight (TWL) in some sort of future release, yes.
