video editor for windows 10

I have a Twilight rendered image sequence ready to convert to video. However, the previous software I have used (VirtualDub) does not appear to be stable on windows 10. (sometimes saves correctly, sometimes fails). I've tried Windows Movie Maker but not getting on well - can't seem to speed up frame rate). Can anyone suggest an alternative program for a relative novice at movie making... preferable free or low budget? Many thanks.

I think Sony Vegas has a video editor for $99.
Adobe Premier Elements is same price last time I checked but haven't looked lately.
I'm surprised Vdub's not working for you... try a 32bit version of vdub it may work better... it should work even though it's a 64bit OS.

Thanks Fletch. In the mean time it was suggested I try Blender - just to get the images sequence to video and it working really well.
