So much glass

Post by nickchun » Fri May 05, 2017 3:48 pm

I am a bit confused as to which glass templates to use for backlit glass cabinets with glass shelves and whether they should have thickness or not. Having searched the forums some of the methods suggested may now be out of date, and we now also have some new glass templates.
I am trying to nail down the most realistic options for each of the following
1. Clear reflective glass for shelves that will allow light to pass through and give the edge detail like the 'green blurry glass' template of old
2. Opaque glass sandblasted matt surface- photo 1 below
3. Opaque glass reflective surface- photo 2 below

I know this has been asked before but I can't find up to date definitive answers. Some threads suggest using translucent templates like 'leaf' which could work for No 2 above but should we now be using the current glass templates?

Thanks for your feedback guys, sorry for the late reply, I've been away.
Alvydas- thanks for the glass material, looks good- I will try to figure out how to adjust the opacity and reflection
Fletch- I don't have a test model as such, I will try Alvydas' glass on my model and repost later

Thanks
