a couple of night renders.....both were around 9 hours using MLT (BPT) hours and 110 passes

very nice... I think I would change the background though. Maybe a nice background with a moon and stars or so.

.....i suppose i could add a few white dots in Gimp to make the image looks as though there were stars....!!....is there a better way..??
.......my same query applies to an image of the moon too
.......i must say though, i will probably resist any suggestions of heavy post processing.....mainly because i'm a stickler for raw renders, and i also simply don't have the time to learn another piece of software......although having said that, i am very impressed with some of the results achieved by others in here who use post processing enhancement for their images

Great render. Plants look excellent, it's a really dynamic view and it is a real improvement on earlier attempts.
