A quick juice glass study I did the baked over night.
I was going for juice; orange at first then maybe apple but I think it turned out more like a urine sample :dho:

seriously dehydrated are you? :o

How did you light the scene? Which setting did you use for glass?

Sorry about the questions! I'm interested as to how different people set up different scenes. :ugeek:

Oli, I will get back with you on the specifics, I am at the office now. However if I remember correctly I used a light buff background color with the sunlight enabled but I don't remember the brightness or intensity. Then I placed three different color triangles around the glass and made them light emitting surfaces.

So my question is, what material and settings would be best for orange juice?

Edit: Thanks Pete.

Most liquids like this, juice, milk, etc, are a kind of sub-surface scattering because they have particles suspended in liquid. So, if you didn't use sss, you could try it out.

Thanks Chris. I did try SSS earlier and the material turned out way too dark. I will have to look at it again.

Oli, here are the settings. The triangles are an invisible emitter at 500.
