Re: House and Pool
I created nearly every image I used and nearly every texture. Solo may recognize his palms
I did not create the tulips... but I think I did make the mask for them.
I should have stuck with my hi-res plaster I created instead of switching at the last minute to SU's native plaster mat, but I have so many hi-res mats, this little job is a 40Mb SU file.
any version before SU 7.1 could not even handle showing me this file on my laptop

Re: House and Pool
oli....how do you add a texture to the plants..?
Re: House and Pool
Show hidden geometry. Click on one of the triangles that make up the leaf mesh. File>Import>Image (use as texture etc) then apply that texture to rest of model by just shift clicking or projecting. this is only for 3d plants obviously.

Re: House and Pool
except for palms and off-screen plants, I pretty much photoshop the plants - they are faster and higher quality... if you know how to tonemap (use exposure tool in Photoshop) an image well, you can 'match' a 'mood' of lighting in almost any image.
In Photoshop - go to >Image>Adjustments>Exposure
same with how I added the natural-looking dirty streaks on the plaster - post pro...

Great, Great!! I am now becoming an admirer and a fan of others' works/renders. I enjoy watching images/renders of great renderers like you. I hardly get any time for 3d work because I am so engrossed in the design process. So I now keep enjoying the works /renders from Twilight and Kerkythea.
