My first House, wip
Hi all,
I am doing a new project, It's really new for me to draw a house...
The South France roof are really hard to model (for me... ) here is a quick shot, medium preset, 3 minutes
, still a wip, I will update Asap... a long run for me

Re: My first House, wip
Very nice roof! extend your nice work to the main areas.
Re: My first House, wip
put gutter on... covers up the strange end of tiles at roof edge, and improves realism.
same with ridge cap tiles... just as built in real life.

Re: My first House, wip
Thanks for your advise, here is a model of "Génoises" border of the typical south France roof with out gutters because it's never raining here ...

Don't say "never"
Maybe an optic effect but under tiles seems too small?

Not never, but rarely here (Nice Côte "d'Azur") ....
Yes you are right the under tile needs to be a bit more thick, Merci Pilou...

Re: My first House, wip
Here is a quick shot at medium + preset takes 1 hour.
I have not used particular setup for the skylight, just the spherical sky image of Fletch (Thanks) and no PS works except for the border...
Still a wip, the architecture is simple i know, but it's like that for this project, a planning permission...
Thanks for comment and helping me to improve...

Re: My first House, wip
I was in this region in August on holiday and took lots of pictures of houses of a similar style to hopefully model when I get chance. I do like the roof style and no gutters.
I think your roof needs a bit more thickness to the tiles. It just does not quite look right.
Also the tree on the left looks a little too shiny.
It's a very good start though, nice work.

Thanks for the comments, I know about the roof tiles, I will try to improve them later when I will have time...
Here is another shot medium + preset 30 minutes.
