Tanks alot

Post by Boofredlay » Sat Nov 14, 2009 3:17 pm

I did this for Pete's Render This Fountain thread on the SCF.

The tank is from 3DW, the ground and tank texture from CG Textures, the sky from one of the Twilight sky packages and the plants are from Pete's plant collection.

Sharp as, it looks like a challenger 1, what is it really?

I crewed on chieftain and challenger 1's and if that IS a challenger 1 there are a few items that are not quite right, the side skirts look more like leopard 2 items with my ol' eyes and grotty optics.

Not a criticism, just an observation. The render is well interesting. Sorry, trying to keep up with the latest slang and failing.

Mike, it is a Challenger II that I found on the 3D Warehouse. I did not create it.

Eric, cheers. I have found that glasses cleaning rag I need to use and see the angle of the turret front face and a few other details. I stopped looking at the armoured vehicles in the wharehouse due to the inaccuracies of descriptions there. Someone has commented on another vehicle I used to crew on and mentioned the history. Sorry guy, but he should have read the facts first. Sorry Eric, I tend to be a bit heavy in my facts and this is jujst an observation of the wharehouse entries.

Must have a go at that sketchyphysics stuff one day. Looks like it might make an interesting little tool.

Thanks
