My Poll house

Post by lexmonteiro » Fri Nov 20, 2009 8:51 pm

Hello guys!
I have worked hard and have done so many things using TW, some of them I have to show you, like this pool house.
There is no post-production, only TW and some noise reduction!
Hope you enjoy this work, C & C are welcome!

Thank you!
The indirect interior lighting using MLT is very real, but I adminte that I have some problems with the exterior lighting (PTP), I wanted to show the quality of the image, no post production. I would have put grass, but the time has not allowed me yeat, and I had to use the KT for it.
I would like to thank Ecuadorian for the flowers libraries.

The models and the lightings should be much improve. I thought the sphere looks too flat.

Thank you all!
I hope to continue improving my work, and thanks to your comments I can see important details that need to be improved.
@dspace : Can you give me some idea of how can I improve my lighting?
@olishea : I just used aluminum fast in the steel flue. ;)

Good answer! :D
I was refering to the first pic, which I thought the sphere looks "flat".
1. It was obviously due the light setup. I thought the second pic was doing good.
2. Better tone mapping or adjustments in PS.
3. Render a depth map when neccessary.
IMHO, light settings are a balancing act, it could be a few light scources to illuminate a scene.
If we try to use the sun to illuminate the interior, then some interior items might be expose to the "hotlight", thus looking flat.
That's why the hdri come in to create global ambience for a headstart. After that then came the spots or emitters.
Hope you get what I mean. ;)

Yes I understand now, and I think you're right! :D
My client asked me to make some changes in design and I had the opportunity to render it again, I put some more lights and the result was quite interesting:
Thank you, your opinions are very important to me, I do not have much time to improve my techniques and your comments always help a lot!
