Wine & Cheese - New Images
Wine & Cheese - New Images
Having some time over the holidays to do some experimenting. Got some good practice with Deep Material Editor, light setup and various material tweaking in this one. Minor post pro in Gimp. Helpful hints and tips always welcome.

Re: Wine & Cheese
Ok... here are some.
Try more contrasted colors for the counter and wall.
I can't distinguish the thickness of the cheese crust.
The slice and cutting board should have some space between them and between the counter to create shadow lines.
A label on top of the cheese would fool the eye.
For me the horizon is a bit low (line at the top of the glasses), try approach to the camera, the glass at the right or other
camara settings.
A good wine never has a cork so porous and clean (I should know).

Re: Wine & Cheese
I second what posodrac said.
Also, try some different settings for the sub-surface scattering on the cheeze, it looks more like foam than cheeze to me

Re: Wine & Cheese
I think it looks great!
I tried some Topaz Adjust photoshop plugin filters.
While I think it's better, I think the composition could be improved, and the lighting could be more dramatic, as well as the camera angle.
Perhaps searching "wine glasses bottle of wine" may help you find some inspiration.

Re: Wine & Cheese
Fletch, Thanks for your input and advice.
Posting new image. Shuffled things around , changed up some textures. 200 passes on Easy 10+. Topaz Deniose and some post pro in Gimp. Far from perfect but good improvement over the first go. The experiments continue .

Much better
Re: Wine & Cheese - New Image
looking good! the table needs a better material... at least reflectivity... the texture is nice.
Re: Wine & Cheese - New Image
posodrac, Fletch, Thanks gentleman and Fletch your right about the table top. Didn't look quite right to me either. Think your comment on the "reflectivity" is spot on now that you point it out. Experiments will continue...... has been a good learning experience so far........
